On election night, Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, we came away with one of the largest percentage wins in Suffolk County by a margin of 65% to 35%. These numbers are unheard of for a non-incumbent, first time candidate.
Those election results are a direct correlation to all the voters, donors and volunteers who believed in me, our team and our message. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who pitched in during these last 10 months to help us get across the finish line on election night. Every single person who lent a hand, even if for only 5 minutes, affected this race and should share in this win.
I have worked on many campaigns during my life, some successful and others not so successful, but one of my biggest take-aways that leads to a successful outcome in an election is energy and heart. Our campaign and all the people who worked on it, brought a sense of excitement, energy, heart, passion, fire, commitment (and I could go on), to this race that was palpable. My family and I thank you for everything you all brought to the table, because I understand and acknowledge, we could not have done this without ALL of everyone’s help!
Going forward, I look forward to representing the taxpayers of the Town of Islip as their next Receiver of Taxes and promise to administer that office with the upmost professionalism and dignity, as the taxpayers deserve no less.
